- February 1842 - Deed from Roger Keys & wife Susannah to Arthur Reid for $1,950. A tract containing 200 acres on the waters of the Middle Fork of the Holston River. Adjacent: James Watson, up the bank of the river, land that said Arthur Reid bought from Robert Keys. [Washington Co., VA Deed Book 15:243-244]. [This 200 acre tract probably north of Bethel].
- 3 April 1846 - Deed from Roger Keys & wife Susannah of Sullivan Co., TN and George B. Keys & wife Sarah M. to Arthur Reid for $700. A tract containing 110 acres “on the fork of the South and Middle Fork of the Holston River adjoining Isaac Grant, John Keys, deceased, James Watson, down the creek. [Washington Co., VA Deed Book 18:391-392]. [The 110 acre tract bordered the Arthur Reid’s 200 acre tract - - see deed dated Feb 1842].
