Facts and Events
Roger Ashley, not long before his marriage, removed from his native place, Westfield, Mass., to what was then the town of Westfield in Washington County, N.Y. The village is situated on the site of old Fort Ann and since 1808 has been known by that name. Roger Ashley lived on a farm in the village. He also carried on the manufacture of whip stocks and axe helves. His homestead farm came into the possession of his son, and is still in the family. Image Gallery
