"Robert² Woodward, baptized in Rushden 22 February 1611/2; died 21 9m (November) 1653, probably of an illness that also killed his youngest son five days later. He married Rachel Smith about 1640 (child born 1641), daughter of John Smith of Boston, tailor. Robert received a houselot in Boston 18 December 1637. The inventory of his estate was taken 3 March 1653, and the administration was granted to Rachel on behalf of herself and her children."
