Robert T. Williams suffered from an asthamatic condition. His condition would eventually assist in his death when he fell victim to the flu epidemic of 1917-18.

In 1898, he helped organize School District #20, was elected treasurer and held that position until 1918 when Roy took his place; Roy held the position until about 1950

    Robert T. Williams, one of the best known ranchers and stockmen of the Tongue river country passed away yesterday morning at 5:05 o'clock in his town residence at 828 Bellevue avenue, following a short illness. The prevalent disease was the cause of his death. The body is now at Reed's funeral parlors awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
