Robert T. Williams suffered from an asthamatic condition. His condition would eventually assist in his death when he fell victim to the flu epidemic of 1917-18.

In 1898, he helped organize School District #20, was elected treasurer and held that position until 1918 when Roy took his place; Roy held the position until about 1950

Robert T. Williams, one of the best known ranchers and stockmen of the Tongue river country passed away yesterday morning at 5:05 o'clock in his town residence at 828 Bellevue avenue, following a short illness. The prevalent disease was the cause of his death. The body is now at Reed's funeral parlors awaiting completion of funeral arrangements. deceased was born in WIsconsin, May 26, 1852, but came to Wyoming many years ago and has since made this his home. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons and four daughters. Alfred and Bowen, two of his sons are in the service of the United States and one daughter, Cora Williams is attending the state university.«/i»
