Robert Emmit Tarbet was born about 1869, according to Washington %& Arkansas census records. It lists him as R.E., while the Presbyterian Church baptismal records lists him as being baptised on May 5, 1872.

Emmit is said to be a twin brotther to Clarance W., and we are assuming that this is the Emmit. though census records of 1870 do not mentiion Clarence. However the baptismal register indicates Robert E. and Clarence W. were baptised on the same day.

Emmit married Minnie Bennet.

He was a duccessiful inventor, who later moved eastward from Washington.

His daughter Lucile lived in Spokane in later years.
