Dr. Egle says that he moved to Kentucky about 1810, but Thomas was born in 1803 in Kentucky -- either Shelby or Jefferson County. Milinda was born in 1801 in Paxtang -- so they may have moved between 1801 and 1803. Do not know where the other children were born. Also may not have the correct order of all the children's births. The replaced tombstone at Long Run Cemetery that has his name as Robert I. Sturgeon is in error; he is sometimes referred to as Robert Ist, but he has no known middle name.

   'Robert, the thirteenth child of Thomas I and Margaret Corbett Sturgeon, was born in Paxtang Township, January 29, 1774. He was apparently living at home when the 1790 census was taken, and was living in 1813, when his father's will was made. Dr. Egle says that he married and removed to Kentucky about 1810, where he and his wife died and were buried in the Long Run Church Cemetery; ...' Lists 8 children.
