Robert Michael "Mickey" Smith, age 60, passed away on Dec. 31, 2010 in the VA Hospital in Seattle, WA.A memorial service will be held at North Jackson Baptist Church, 3768 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN, 731-664-9618 on Sunday, Jan 16, 2011. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at 3:30 p.m.Mickey was born on April 25, 1950 in Jackson, TN, the son of the late Robert Paul Smith and Annie Mae Rogers Smith Howell. He attended local schools and Jackson State Community College. He joined the Marines and served two tours of duty in Vietnam 1969 - 1970. He was awarded the Silver Star as well as other metals. He has lived in Reno, NV for the past 30 years.He is survived by his wife Kim Black Smith of Reno, NV; his son Michael Shane Smith of Reno, NV; his daughter Melissa C. Smith of Renton, WA; granddaughters Tiana and Jaden of Renton, WA; his sisters Frances Hearn and June Dorris of Jackson, TN.
