Approve petition of Thomas Mekins and Peeter Aspinwall, dated 15 Jan 1656, proposing raising of children of Robert Sharp (Petition, labeled "Robert Sharps Children Agreement" is SP Vol. 2, p. 67). Petition signed by Abigail Clapp, relicte late Robert Sharp.
The petition to settle the estate (SP Vol. 4, p. 233), dated 15 Apr 1665, references the above petition and names 3 children: John age 22 in 1654 (when their father died), Abigail abt. 17 and Mary abt. 12. Witnesses: John White & Ja Pemberton.
[Note: on p. 31:103, the compiler of the NEHGR abstracts, William B. Trask, makes the error of identifying widow Abigail Clapp as the wife of Nicholas Clapp in an annotation, though her husband is not named and does not participate in any of these documents. Her husband was, in fact, Thomas Clapp.]
