[PVRB, book 6, p 97]  On the 1910 census, age 2, with parents in Webster, Polk Co., Ia.[ED 184, p 8A, f am #87/87]  On 1920 census, age 12, with parents there.[ED 187, p 12B, fam #196/198]  He continues with his parents on the 1930 census, Webster Twp.  He is 22 and a laborer on a general farm. (ED 77-129, p. 4A, fam #89/91) He married (1) Cecil "Marjorie" SNYDER 12 Jun 1931; they divorced.[PVRM, p 52,  from book 30 of marriages, 258]  Robert married (2) Florence BANNING.  He was a farmer, and lived on the original land owned by Jacob Rittgers, Johnston, Ia. Robert died Jul 1975[SS] in Jacksonville, Duval Co., Fla., and was buried in Rittgers Cemetery, Johnston, Ia.  Florence's name is also on the stone.  In her brother, Lawrence "Bud" Banning's obituary, 3 Mar 1992, Des Moines Register, we see she is of Jacksonville, Fl.
