    "It would appear that Robert Ransom of Plymouth, Mass., was of the Ipswich strain. ... Where Robert cam from, or how long he had been in the colony [before 1654] is not certain." Took the "oath of fidelitie" in Plymouth in 1657, so presumably of legal age and born by 1636. "...his wife Hannah, sometimes called Susannah, ... some difference in the given name of Robert's wife as used in the records, and it is possible that he may have been married a second time ... Susanna or Abigail." Died 14 Dec 1697 [sic, this is the date his inventory was taken, no death record found, and while he could have had the inventory taken the date of his death, typically it would indicate he died prior to this date].
