U.S. Army Ret. : Quarles, Robert - born 7/26/1763, son of James A. & Mary [Quarles]; entered service Goochland County, Virginia in Virginia Regiment; Bounty Land Warrant #1777 issued 5/17/1792; died 8/23/1827; married 11/18/1791 to Patsey, daughter of Garrett Minor, Louisa County, Virginia by Reverend William Douglass; widow was born 2-6-1770; granted Pension 1844 in St. Louis County, Missouri, residing in St. Louis; resided there in 1848 when son-in-law Charles L. Hall made affidavit there concerning family bible entries: soldier's children's births: Pryor 8/18/1792, Louisa Ann 5/20/1794, twins Garet Green & James Lewis 4/13/1796 & Robert 5/21/1798; daughter Louisa Ann married 7/25/1816 to Charles R. Hall; soldier married Mary who died 12/1/1816 age 72; soldier's brother John died 7/27/1818; Rebecca Bowlen, former widow of John Quarles, died 10/1818 age 43; James L.
