Pioneer Patriot Families of Bradford Co., PA 1770-1825 Vol. 2, p. 265 pub. 1915: "Robert Potter, the only Rev. soldier buried in Albany Twp, came from the Lake country in NY, with his son-in-law, Maltiah Hatch to Albany abt 1820. His record of service is given in his affidavit of Sept. 12, 1820: 'That in the first part of 1775 he enlisted as a pvt. in the Co. of Capt. James Chapman in a Regt. commanded by Col. John Tyler of the CT line & served 12 mo. when he was discharged at Peekskill, NY; that his family consists of himself 71 yrs old; profession has been farming, but now not able to labor for his support. He died in Albany & was inhumed in Wilcox cem. Three of his daughters. married respectively Maltiah Hatch, John Nichols & Reynolds Babcock." References
