From a letter written by a Percy descndant in 1916: "Robert had lost his wife, her name was Gray and three children where born to them, Abram, Garett and Betsy. Mr grandmother, Elizabeth Derby lost her husband leaving her with a family of 5 children, - namely Wm. Lewis, Juliaqnna, and Emily, the rest I have forgotten. Robert and Elizabeth Derby were married and four children were born to them, namely, -Robert, Henry, David, and Alexan--. David Sr. was married to Julianna Derby so Robert became his brother's father-in-law by marriage."
