1871 - Birth Registration: Robert, son of Richard NEWMAN, cordwainer, and Mary Ann NEWMAN formerly JACOBS. Information from Coroner B. SHAW Esq., by letter. 1914-37 - Recorded in Australian Electoral Roll as Robert Albert NEWMAN, Branxholm, Tasmania, miner [with wife]. 1921 - Report in the Examiner, Launceston, on 18 July: New Insolvent. A petition for the liquidation of his affairs was on Saturday lodged with the registrar in bankruptcy by Robert Al bert Newman, miner, of Branxholm, who estimates the amount owing by him to his creditors to be £130. 1946 - Death Notice in The Mercury, Hobart, and the Examiner, Launceston, on 1 February: NEWMAN.- On January 31, 1946, at Launceston, Robert Albert, dearly beloved husband of Rosina Maria Newman, of 4 Moore St., Invermay, and loving father of Stella (Mrs E. G. Hart, deceased), Bert (Launceston), Charlie, George (deceased), Doris (Mrs J. Holmes. Hobart), Les (Branxholm), Harry (deceased), Ralph (Branxholm), Jean (Mrs O. J Smith, Launceston), aged 74 years. 1946 - Funeral Notice in The Mercury, Hobart, and the Examiner, Launceston, on 1 February: NEWMAN.- The funeral of the late Mr. Robert Albert Newman is appointed to leave 16 Brisbane St. on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock for interment in the Carr Villa Cemetery.
