The will of Robert McNeely, written during his last illness, was probated on the 12th of May 1757, leaving his estate of 400 acres to his heirs listed as "eldest son" James, Michael, and William and daughters Mary, Jean, and Dorthea, and his pregnant wife Dorthea. There is no mention of George McNeely, a twin brother of William, who was baptised June 20, 1743 at Michael Woods home in Albemarle County, Virginia.
