Robert (McLathlin), no record of his birth being found at Wenham, he was probably born at Brookfield.… He was one of the quota of Rowley, Mass., in the expedition against Quebec under Sir William Phipps, 1690. He died in this service. For his services in this expedition the town of Rowley (May 6, 1691) awarded to his administrator. Capt. Thomas Fisk, £4 12s. 7d. His inventory, filed June 30, 1691, is as follows: … "To working tools, 14s and his wages from the country £4-12s-7d." This amount was included in the estate of Robert, the father, showing that Robert, the son, had died prior to his father without issue.
