Daniel2 McLathlin (Robert1), born at Wenham, Mass., Jan. 25, 1674. Married Sarah Edwards at Wenham, March 11, 1701. He was a tanner and lived in his native town until some time subsequent to May 25,1722, when he conveyed to Emerson Cogswell, of Ipswich (for the consideration of £80), his home, bark mill and tan vat, and material for carrying on the trade of tanner, together with about three acres of land. After this he moved with his family to Hopkinton. In the affairs of this town he took an active and prominent part. He was selectman in 1727. In 1729 he was chosen treasurer of the town, which office he held for several consecutive years, an evidence of the high esteem in which he was held by his fellow townsmen. His wife, Sarah, died in Hopkinton, Jan. 8, 1743. He died in Framingham, Mass., 1775, "old and increpid."
