McCoy, Robert, 84, of Middlebourne, died Saturday in the Clarksburg Veterans Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Middlebourne, Feb. 13, 1874, a son of John and Nancy Stealey McCoy. A retired printer, he had been employed on a number of newspapers at various times. He was a member of Post 48, American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Sistersville Elks and was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Surviving are two sons, Covert with the U.S. Army, and Russell of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Miss Mabel McCoy of Middlebourne; two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held today at 2 o'clock at the Sawyer Funeral Home with Rev. Mrs. Achsah Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Middlebourne cemetery.
