Guardian's Bond

R. & S. Worthington Guardians Bond

Know all men by these presents that we, Robert Worthington, Samuel Worthington, Andrew Campbell, John Lindsey and Joshua Haines of the County of Frederick are held and firmly bound unto Morgan Morgan, Gent., the first Justice in the Commission of the Peace for the said county, for and in behalf and to the sole use and behoof of the justices of the said county, their executors, administrators and assigns, in the sum of two hundred pounds current money to be paid to the said Morgan Morgan, his executors, administrators and assigns to the which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and each of us by himself, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.Sealed with our seals and dated this 3rd day of March 1747.

The condition of this obligation is such that if the above bound Robert and Samuel Worthington, their executors and administrators, shall well and truly pay and deliver or cause to be paid and delivered to Joseph Hayes, orphan or Robert Hays, deceased, all such estate estates as now is or are or hereafter shall appear to be due to the said orphan when and as soon as he shall attain to full age or when thereto required by the trustees of the said county court, also to keep harmless the above named and the rest of the said justices, their and every of their heirs, executors and administrators from all trouble and damage that shall and may arise about the said estate, then, the above obligation to be void, otherways to remain in full force.

At a court continued and held for Frederick County on Thursday, the 3rd day of March 1747.

Robert Worthington and Samuel Worthington, guardians of the orphan of Robert Hays, deceased, together with Andrew Campbell, John Lindsey and Joshua Hains, their securities, acknowledged this their bond which was admitted to record.
