From Barbara Hawkins

He had seven children. Information from St. John's Catholic, in Jackson, shows that Robert's middle name was Edward, but he used Edmund as his middle name. It is Edmund on his marriage and birth certificates. For his baptism, John Quirk and Ella Summers were his sponsors. The ceremony was performed by Fr. Scheukelberg.

They lived near Grass Lake, MI for many years, until Robert's health caused them to move to Bradenton, FL. Robert worked for Budget Rental Cars at that time. Ruth worked as a county clerk in Grass Lake and then as a volunteer in the hospital in Bradenton.
