Robert E. Hamlin Jr.64, of Bremerton died Sunday in Bremerton of a brain tumor. He was born in Bremerton to Robert and Marguerite (Spaeth)Hamlin Sr. He graduated from Seattle Prep School in 1957 and from Olympic Colleg in 1958 He married Cecelia Wanecek in Coeur d'Alene,Idaho. Mr Hamlin worked with Prudential Insurance as a salesman and financial planner for 20 years,retiring in 1995. He had been affiliated with the Life Underwriters Training Council. He was a member of the Elks 1181 and Holy Trininty Catholic Church, both in Bremerton. When his daughter attended high school, he participated in the Bremerton High School Dad's Club. Mr. Hamlin enjoyed bowling and golf. Surviviors include his wife;his mother;four daughters,Christine Hamlin of Bremerton, Angela Hamlin of Marysville,Marguerite Studer of Snohomish and Geri Scott of Lake Stevens,a brother William Hamlin of Bremerton;two sisters Kathy King and Rosemary Marsh,both of Bremerton and five grandchildren,Trevor,Lindsey,Spencer,Sam and Molly. Viewing will be at noon Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton,followed by a rosary there at 12.40 p.m. After the rosary a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1.p.m;also at Holy Trinity. A graveside service will be at 3.30 p.m Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I have information to pass on to my girls on three sides but very little written information on the Hamlin/Spaeth side. I will dig out my photo albums and start scanning
