KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I Capt. DAVID MANSEL for a consideration in hand received hath by these presents made sale of a parcell of land from me my heirs or assignes for ever firmly & by these presents from all person or parsons whatsoever that may or can at any time lay any claime Title or interest hereunto farther I the said DAVID MANSEL doth warrant grant unto ELDER ALDRIGE thirty acres of land binding upon the head line of ROBT. FRISTOE Southerly to the MOUNT FRAILES begining at a valley at a marked tree mining Southerly farther I the sd DAVID MANSELL hath by the sd presents made over from me my heirs or assignes to ELDER ALDRIGE his heirs or assignes firmly & by these presents to have & to hold the sd Land for ever with all rights & priviledges whatsoever in as large & ample manner as Law can maintaine & to the true performance hereof I set my hand & seal this 3d day of September 1665

KNOW ALL MEN by these pntes that I DAVID MANSELL of the County of Rappa, in Virginia Plantr. for sundry causes herein menconed doe heerby bargaine and sell unto JOHN ARNELL of the aforesd County Plantr, a tract or pcell of land conteynin g two hundred acres or thereabouts scytuated & bounded as Foll, Beginning at the lyne of ROBERT FRISTOW & so running upp a swamp to the Cornr, tree of ROBT. BAYLEY & from thence running along the Lyne of ROBT, BAYLEY to another cornr. tree of the sd BAYLEYs standing by an INDIAN FIELD and from thence to the out Lyne of GEORGE HOWELL & to the place where it first Begann To Have and To Hold the sd Land whether more or lesse to him the sd JOHN ARNELL his heirs for Ever with all Rights & proffitts thereto belonging to me by Vertue of a Pattent graunted for the same bearing date the 7th 9bris 1664 the sd JOHN ARNELL yeilding payeing yearely its accustomed quittrents as is therein expressed, It is provided & agreed upon by & Between the sd pties that if it shall soe happen that the sd JOHN ARNELL doe outlive the sd DAVID MANSELL that then the sd ARNELL shall enjoy the sd land as above menconed But in case the sd DAVID MANSELL outliveing the sd JOHN ARNELL that then the sd Land shall revert unto the sd DAVID MANSELL againe any thing herein expressed to the Contrary notwithstanding. It is further agreed between the sd pties that in consid: of the prmises the sd JOHN ARNELL is forthwth to settle upon the sd land cleering & fencing a Corne Feild pt whereof (which may containe five thousand cornhills) the sd DAVID MANSELL is to have to his pticular use for two years & what more land shall for the future be cleered by the sd JOHN ARNELL or DAVID MANSELL the same to bee proporconable between them according to the number of Servants that they or either of them shall have during both their lives of the abovesd plies But after the Death of either of them all the land to bee enjoyed according to the tenor hereof and likewise it is Further agreed that in consid: of the prmises the sd JOHN ARNELL doe heerby oblige himselfe diligently carefully to looke after & to his power preserve what Cattle & hoggs shall be brought upon the sd Plantacon belonging to the sd DAVID MANSELL & to provide sufficient Fother for the abovesd Cattle for the terme of yeares. In Consid: of which the sd JOHN ARNELL is to have an Equall Benefits with the sd MANSELL of the Coves by their milke for the terme of two yeares & noe longer.

THIS INDENTURE made the Eighth day of January 1683/4 and in the five and thirtieth yeare of the Reigne of or Sovereigne Lord Charles the Second &c. Between RICHARD KING of the Parish of Farnham & County of Rappa:, Planter, & JANE his Wife of the one part and ROBERT BAYLIS JUNYR, of the said Parish and County, alsoe Planter, of the other part Witnesseth that the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife for the full quantity of Eight thousand pounds of Merchantable Tobo: and caske to them in hand paid have sold unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heires and assignes Fifty acres of land being neare unto a Creeke commonly called FARNHAM CREEK in the Parish and County aforesaid adjoyning upon a tract of land belonging to the heirs of JAMES BIDDLECOME deced & on the land herein after granted, wch. said Fifty acres the said RICHARD KING purchased & bought of one ROBERT FRISTOE & JANE his Wife, now in the occupation of RICHARD JASPER, and alsoe all that tract of land contayning One hundred acres to be exactly laid out & survayed at the charge of the said ROBERT BAYLIS and to as neare as may be adjoyning and laying togeather about the Dwelling House of the said Plantation now in the occupation of RICHARD APPLEBY and abutting partly on the said hereby granted Fifty acres of land which said land the said ROBERT KING purchased of DAVID FRISTOE and had the same confirmed by an Order of Rappa: County Court dated the 5th day of July 1682 and all erections and buildings on the said two parcells of land and all other the rights & hereditaments to them belonging To have and to hold unto the said ROBERT BAYLIS his heirs from henceforth for ever Subject nevertheless unto the quilt rents which shall grow due to be paid unto the Chieffe Lord of the Prmisses and the said RICHARD KING and JANE his Wife will acknowledge these prsents in due forme before the Worll: his Majties Court of Justices for this County of Rappa: In Witness whereof the parties have sett their hands and seales Sealed and delivered in the prsence of

KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I RICHARD KING of the Parish of Farnham in the County of Rappa: do for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid by JOAB HAMMON have sold unto the aforesaid JOB: HAMMON his heires forever a parcell of land being in the Parish and County aforesaid and conteyning One hundred acers of land more or less that shall be found within these following bounds Beginning at a marked white Oake standing at the head of a branch commonly called the CATTAILE BRANCH which is the corner tree of a former divident granted by me to the sd HAMMON, thence by a line of marked trees E: and by S: to a red Oake standing the line of a divident belonging to Mr. ROBT: BAYLIS, thence along the sd line to a white Oake standing in the line of JOHN WILLIAMS, thence along the sd WILLIAMS line to a red Oake and from thence to the place where it first began To have and to hold the sd land with all rights and privilidges thereunto belonging in as large and ample manner as was granted to me by Deed of Sale the sd JOB HAMMON paying the rents and services due of right accustomed further I the sd RICHARD KING for me my heires do oblige that the sd JOB HAMMON will at all times occupie and enjoy the said land without the denyall of me the sd RICHARD KING or any other persons that may hereafter lawfully claime any part of the sd land In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seale this (blank) day of April 1687
