From Mrs. Watson Winslow, History of Perquimans County [N.C.] (1931,repr. 1990), p. 348:

Robert [1] Evans with consent of wife Ann, sold 100a on West Shore, to John Wood, 'whereon I now live' March 19, 1719. He later assigned 640aon South side of Ahosky Swamp, to Peter Parker, Oct. 16, 1720. Ann Evans appears as Admix of her dec'd husband Robert Evans [1], May 1745.

From Edna M. Shannonhouse, compiler & ed., Year Book Pasquotank Historical Society, Vol. 4 (1983). p. 179:

Peter [2] [Evans] made will in Bertie County,North Carolina, in 1754[???] and names son Robert (1), who married Ann Lane, daughter of Christopher and Christiana Lane of Bertie County, North Carolina before 1733. There is a quit claim deed in said county 1733 proving that Robert Evans was a son-in-law of said Christopher Lane. Soon after this date Robert [1] Evans moved to Perquimans County, North Carolina, where he died. His will was probated in Jan. 1758. [sic -- This is obviously false. The Jan. 1758 will was will of Robert [2] Evans; Robert [1] Evans d. bef. May 1745. -- Richard Wilson]

Note: As pointed out by Richard Wilson, the will that was proved in Jan 1758 was the will of a Robert Evans (although it isn't clear who Wilson means by Robert [2] Evans), written 20 Mar 1754 in Perquimans County, North Carolina. Did Peter Evans also write a will in 1754 (in Bertie County) or was the author confused?
