OBITUARY
MR. R. DEVON Mr. Robert, Devon, who died at the age of 81, was born at Wallsend and lived at Abermain for nearly 42 years. He was employed at Abermain Colliery No. 1 until his retirement and was president for many years of Abermain Miners' Lodge. Two sons, James and Herbert, survive. Rev. P. H. Williams conducted services at the home and at the Presbyterian portion of Kurri Kurri cemetery. The funeral was attended by officers and members of Abermain Pensioners' Association and Abermain. Miners' Lodge.
