OBITUARY The death occurred suddenly on Sunday last, at her residence. Third-street, Boolaroo, of Mrs. Catherine Conn, widow of the late Mr. J. Conn, who predeceased her 19 years. The deceased, who was 61 years of age, was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. Devon, who were well-known residents of Wallsend district. She had lived in Boolaroo for over 30 years, and was one of the pioneers of the local Presbyterian Church. She was also an active supporter of the local School of Arts, and took a prominent part in all patriotic and charitable movements. She had been in ill-health for ? years, but her, death was quite unexpected. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. G. A. Horan (Bathurst), Mrs T. J. Sweeney (Boolaroo), Mrs. A. R. Clyde (Lakemba), Miss Addie Conn (Boolaroo, and two sons. Mr. J. P. Conn (Boolaroo). Mr. J. T. Conn (Hamilton). The funeral left her late residence on Monday for the Presbyterian cemetery, Wallsend, where Rev. Mr. Finlayson conducted the service. The pall-bearers were Messrs. W. Nelmes, G. Stewart, A. Mitchell, and R. J. M'Donald. Wreaths were laid on the grave on behalf of Mr. G. K. Conn. Mr. and Mrs G. Skelton, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Conn. Mr. and Mrs. C. Conn, Mr. and Mrs H. Burton, Mr. and Mrs. J.
