"Robert (Colburn), b. about 1647 (aged 54 when he made his will in 1701 [MPR 10:141-42]); m. by 1670 Mary Bishop, daughter of Edward Bishop (on 4 September 1670, "Mary the daughter of Edward Bishop & wife of Robert Coburne professing her submission to God & his ways & owning the covenant had her child baptized & letters of recommendation to the Church of Christ at Chelmsford were consented to by the brethren to be sent with her, she going to live there" [EIHC 35:192, transcribing Beverly church records, p. 16]; "Ebenezer son of Robert Coburne of Chelmsford by his wife Mary (which Mary is brother Bishop's daughter) the said Ebenezer baptized the 20 12: 1675/6" [EIHC 37:184, transcribing Beverly church records, p. 155])."[1]
