ROBERT J. BROWNFIELD was born 04 Jun 1760 in Cumberland County, PA, and died 17 Jun 1841 in Somers Township, Champaign, IL. He married SUSAN NANCY RAMSEY Abt. 1782 in PA. She died Abt. 1812 in Harrison County, KY.
Notes for ROBERT J. BROWNFIELD: Robert served as a war supply wagon train guard during the Revolutionary War, in the Pennsylvania Rangers. He and other Revolutionary War veterans that were early settlers of Illinois in the Danville-Champaign area and died in Illinois are commemorated in the court yard of the Federal Courthouse at Danville. Robert's name is engraved on a paving stone. His grave near the "Big Grove" in the Rhinehart Cemetery has been lost [Rinehart Cemetary in Effingham County, Illinois, which is south of the Champaign-Danville area?].
