Thought this had been put to rest. Apparently old queries keep popping up. Information I had received long ago said my John Brownfield was a son of Robert. Original DAR applications contain this information. However, when I researched I found the John Brownfield I was looking for was married to the widow Mary Lewis Worrell. He died about 1751 in Marple Twp., Chester Co., Pa. His son John married Prudence Gray and their son John married Elizabeth Clark. The third John died 5 Sept. 1788 in Cumberland Co., Pa. Have found no data to suggest the original John was related to Robert. Let me know if you want further info. My outline should be on ancestry.
