Robert Blott (sometimes showing up as Thomas Blott) received a number of parcels in Charlestown in the 1630s and 1640s.
In his will, dated 27 May 1662 (codicil 27 Mar 1665, proved 2 Feb 1665/6), he named "Edward Ellis my son-in-law husband to Sarah my daughter," who received his house and lot, and was instructed to pay "to my eldest daughter's children, whose name was Woodford of Conniticott, three pounds," and to "give my daughter Tosior's children seven pounds and three bushels of wheat... besides to her eldest son John Green Cloth to make him a coat," and to "give to my daughter Lovett's children of Braintree seven pound and three bushels of wheat and two bushels of Indian, also to my son-in-law Danil Turin's children eight pounds". He also names son-in-law Daniell Lovett and his eldest son. The inventory totaled £112 5s, of which £ was real estate.

ORIGIN: Puddington, Bedfordshire. CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: "John Blacke [sic] and Susanna his wife" were admitted to Charlestown church on 4 January 1634/5 {ChChR 8; TAG 67:68]. On 28 December 1644, "Robert Blott and Susan his wife upon letters of dismission from the Church at CharleTowne having declared their spiritual condition to the Elders in private at their private meeting" were admitted to Boston church [BChR 43]. FREEMAN: 4 March 1634/5 (second in a sequence of five Charlestown men) [MBCR 1:370]. BIRTH: By about 1584 based on date of marriage. No parents mentioned DEATH: Between 27 Mar 1665 (Codicil to will) and 22 Aug 1665 (inventory) MARRIAGE: Harrold, Bedfordshire, 31 Aug 1609 Susanna Selbee [TAG 67:65]. Robert1 Blott was born presumably in Bedfordshire, England, probably in the 1580s. He may have been a son of the Robert Blott of Harrold, co. Bedford, whose 1609[/I0?] will is abstracted [earlier in the article].
