"In his will, dated 27 May 1662 (with codicil dated 27 Mar 1665) and proved 2 Feb 1665/6, Robert Blott made 'Edward Ellis my son-in-law husband to Sarah my daughter my executor,' and bequeathed to him 'my house & the lot belonging thereunto, with all the appurtenances, also my will is that he shall pay to my eldest daughter's children, whose name was Woodford of Conniticott, three pounds'; Edward Ellis also to 'give my daughter Tosior's children seven pounds and three bushels of wheat & two of Indian corn, beside to her eldest son John Green Cloth to make him a coat,' and to 'give to my daughter Lovett's children of Braintree seven pound and three bushels of wheat and two bushels of Indian, also to my son-in-law Danil Turin's children eight pounds'; 'my daughter Tosior and my daughter Lovet shall have half the household stuff equally divided between them, and the other half to my daughter Ellis and also three bushels of malt to be divided between my three daughters'; 'also to Daniell Lovett my son-in-law I give my best coat." In the codicil of 27 March 1665, Robert Blott reported that he had consumed all the corn mentioned as bequests, and that the relevant portions of his will were null and void, bequeathed to 'Daniel Lovett's eldest son … a remnant of cloth,' affirmed that his bequest of house and ground to 'my son Ellis' was only for the benefit 'of my daughter Sara & the children of my son Ellis,' and made 'by son & daughter Ellis; his executors [SPR 1:456]. The inventory of the estate of Robert Blott, taken 22 August 1665, totalled £112 5s., of which £100 was real estate: 'the dwelling house & land adjoining' [SPR 4:262]."^[1]
