The Burlington Daily Times-News Wednesday Jan 21, 1976 Robert A. Blalock Robert Alvin (Bob) Blalock, 49, of Rt. 1, Snow Camp, died Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Veterans Hospital. Durham, after sir. months of falling health and nine days of critical illness. A native of Alamance County, he was a son of Mrs. Isabel Webster Blalock who survives and the late Jacob Floyd Blalock. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. and an employe of the maintenance department for Burlington City Schools. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera Stuart Blalock of the home; his mother of Rt. 2, Snow Camp; three brothers, Jacob Floyd Blalock of Graham. James Vernon Blalock of Burlington, and Lee Roy Blalock of Rt. 2, Snow Camp; two sisters. Mrs. Margaret Newton of Rt. 1, Haw River, and Mrs. Mary Lou Stuart of Snow Camp. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Gurney Laws. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 Thursday night. |
