Robert Benoit, son of Murphy Benoit and Lucy Wing, was born in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The 1910 census listed his age as 5, which would mean he was born around 1904 or 1905.

Obituary

Robert Benoit, oilfield retiree

Beaumont Enterprise. Monday, Feb., 21, 1983. Orange. Graveside services for Robert Julian Benoit, 79, of Orange were held at 2. p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. He died Saturday at Orange Memorial Hospital after an illness. A native of Toomey, La., and an Orange resident one week, he was a retired oilfield worker. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Jane Hamor of Orange and Wynona Pauline Crimm of Houston; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
