Facts and Events
Rita Adolphin was born on July 22nd, 1921 to Eliza Warner and Christopher Caines. She had one brother named Johnny Warner, who passed away at the age of 17 years. Rita did not have any sisters. After completing her Education at Sandy Point Girls' School, she had two sons. She later became the wife of Austin Adolphin, unto whom she bore four daughters and four sons. She had a total of 12 children. She was a very active member of the Sandy Point Anglican Church, and a member of their ladies' group called The Mother's Union. Rita was very helpful to everyone that came within her reach. She was very dedicated in whatever she decided to do. She made it possible for all her children to have good health and education, and she made sure that they attended church worship services and Sunday School regularly. Both she and her husband did agricultural work to provide for the family. She was a moral example to many. She went to live in the United States of America two years after her husband died. There she continued the same lifestyle in Church and environment until she passed away at the age of 95. |
