    "193-15. Richard3 Swan, (Robert, Richard), b. (Haverhill) 24 Feb., 1660; moved to Rowley and there married, 3 Dec., 1683, Hannah Story, perhaps daughter of William of Ipswich. He was admitted to Rowley Church, 23 May, 1684. He was a soldier in the Canada Expedition, 1690, and died in service. Administration granted, 22 Apr., 1691, to his widow, Hannah (Essex Probate, 304:375)."
