Richard Street was baptised on 7th November 1702 at Stotfold in Bedfordshire, son of a blacksmith named Richard Street and his wife Mary. Richard has yet to be positively traced after his baptism, although it seems likely that he was still living in the area in 1723, as his father's burial says "Richard Street senior", implying that there was also a Richard Street junior to distinguish him from.
