- ↑ Richard is named between Samuel and John in his father's will, but no birth is recorded, nor has an age at death been discovered yet. The estimated birth of 1704 is simply a guess to make him fit among his siblings. Source:Mecham, Leonidas DeVon. Family Book of Remembrance and Genealogy with Allied Lines, p. 299, shows him born 1692, without any evidence or justification. This source has some noticeable errors in the children's birth orders (Mary and Mercy combined into one person, who is shown marrying, even though the death of both before 1710 is recorded) so it is unclear whether this should be given any authority.
