Visitations of the County Somerset in 1531 and 1575 says Richard was of East Myng and was of Crewkerne by 1563, when his name begins to appear in parish registers.

Will, dated 13 Apr 1588, mentions daughter Elizabeth Pysinge (£40), son Robert Pysinge (household stuff at Hawkechurch), wife Margery (use of household for life), daughter Mary Labye, daughter Joane Hull (obligation from Richard Everedd of Hawkechurch), son-in-law Thomas Hull (overseer). Robert seems to be the only child with children at this point.
