Richard changed the spelling of last name from Mihlstin to Mihlsten which is what my mother (Grete) continued to use and all her children do too. Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army March 10, 1942. Received a Bad Conduct Discharge from the U.S. Navy in May 8, 1945 (I think he was in the reserves, but Grete said he was in Morrocco during his naval service.) Mental Illness - institutionalized for a while then went into assisted living arrangement.
