Richard was a Physical Instructor using the Sandow system of training introdued PE into NZ Schools. The originator of ther Sandow system in the North Island. Originator of breathing exercizes for school children in NZ schools. He was the first to use the crouch start in ruiniing in NZ. He introduced basketball to NZ. He also had something to do with Boxing. He had a chest expansion of 10 inches. He was a poultry farmer and used to show roosters in NZ competitions as well as the USA. He entered Hen laying competitions. He lived in many places including Wanganui, Lansdowne, Oxford St Masterton. Occupation Iron Moulder in Wanganui.
