- Mary Meador, m. Richard Hobbs (b. 1644, VA, d. 1683 VA)
- Richard's parentage is unknown, although there are two possibilities, Jacob Hobbs overseer of Thomas Goodrich, and Captain Francis Hobbs of Isle of Wight County.
- Richard witnessed the will of James Love in 1681, at which time he said his age was 37, given an estimated birth date of 1644.
- In 1673 Richard and Mary sold land on the east side of Williamson's Creek to John Chambers.
- In 1675 Richard and Mary sold land in the same area to James Sampson
- Richard died 1683, probably on a hunting expedition on the west side of the Rappahannock River in the wilderness. John Waters searched for and found the body and returned it for burial. There was no will, but an inventory was taken, including 44,859 pounds of tobacco and many animals, indicating a respectable wealth.
