1910 The Norwood News, Mar. 29, 1910 [excerpt]: The following was taken from Morris Sun, Min., March 17; "Richard Henderson, father of Mrs. Mary Torrey, died in htis city on Sunday last, March 13th, at the age of ninety-three. He would have been ninety-four years old had he lived until naxt December, and the cause of his death was the infimities usually following the lapse of so many years. Mr. Henderson had made his home with his daughter for many years, and was well known. Of late he has been about but little. He was born near Dublin, Ireland in 1817, and came to this country in 1836 with his parents. They settled on a farm near Potsdam Junction, now Norwood, New York. He lived there until thirteen years ago when he came to Morris and has lived here ever since. In 1850 he was married to Miss Mary Ann Walker, a sister of Joseph Walker one of our pioneer settlers who died here a few years ago........" [see notes with his children for further information]
