Tallapoosa County, Alabama, Orphans Court, September term, 1843: "This day came Richard Henderson (Jr), Administrator of the estate of Richard Henderson, Sr., deposed, and files this petition and bring forth - that said intestate died seized & possessed of the following described Real Estate, to wit: the East half of the South West quarter of Section 25, T 22, of R 24; The South West quarter of Section 25, T 22 of R 24, and the North limit of S 23, T 22 of R 224 east in the Tallapoosa land Distict. And that said Real Estate cannot be fairly, equally and benefically divided among the heirs of said estate without a sale of the Real Estate herein described and prays for an order to sell the same; It is therefore ordered that publication be made in the East Alabamian a public newspaper in said State, for the space of six weeks, notifying all persons concerned to be and appear at an Orphans Court to be holden on the first Monday in November next for said county, to show cause if any they have, why the prayer of the petitioner should not be granted.
