HAMILTON, Richard, 83, a retired landscaper who formerly lived in Whatcom County, died Monday, June 6, (1988) at a Longview Hospital. He was born April 5, 1905, in Sumas and attended public schools there. He moved about 25 years ago to California where he worked as a carpenter before becoming a landscaper. He later moved to Castle Rock where he lived at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the family home; three daughters, Elveria Caste of Bellingham, Loraine Daniel of Ocean Shores and Brenda Holland of Sparks, Nev.; two sisters, Nora Johnston of Bellingham and Bethel Holtzheimer of Custer; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. At Mr. Hamilton's request there will be no services. The body was cremated.
