There were two Richard Grist baptism's in Lacock in 1635 and one in 1649.

There are five possible marriages Jane Bush 1 August 1658, Alice Kimber 22 April 1666, Grace Hanckocke 8 July 1666, Elizabeth Birtwisle 14 May 1671, Grace Dummer 26 December 1672. Sorting out which Richard married which woman is difficult, where children born have both parents listed it is possible to group them to a mother but not a specific father. Probably the last Richard married one of the last two women and finding death records may show who married twice.

There are four children listed as those of parents ‘Richard and Jane’. This Richard of 1635/6 (son of Richard) married to Jane Bush may their father. It is possible Richard, baptised 25 May 1635 (son of Henry) was the husband/father.
