"In the 'Archæologia Cantiana' (London, 1893), vol. xx.. p. 20, is an abstract of the administration of the estate of Richard Foster of Biddenden, co. Kent, dated 3 May, 1630. The widow, Patience, renounced administration, and it was granted to John Bigge, maternal uncle of Mary, Hopestill and John Foster, children, minors."

This excerpt is from the book-form reprint of Mr. Whitmore's April 1898 in The New England Historic Genealogical Register. However, the information regarding Richard Foster's probate was received after the journal article went to press and is not included there.
