"In the 'Archæologia Cantiana' (London, 1893), vol. xx.. p. 20, is an abstract of the administration of the estate of Richard Foster of Biddenden, co. Kent, dated 3 May, 1630. The widow, Patience, renounced administration, and it was granted to John Bigge, maternal uncle of Mary, Hopestill and John Foster, children, minors."

John Foster was apparently living when administration on his father's estate was granted to his uncle John Bigge.
