Will Abstract
- 18 Aug 1795, Frederick Co., MD. Richard Davis of Frederick County.
- My son Solomon Davis to have RW, my black horse, called "Blase" my desk and a large walnut dining table.
- To my elder daughter Hariot, my Negro girl, Patience, and choise of my best bed and furniture.
- I give to my sister Sarah West $12 per year after my decease to be paid out of the sales of my personal estate. After my death, sale of estate to be at auction to highest bidders and residue thereof to be equally divided between my six children: Solomon Davis, Garah Davis, Eli Davis, Richard Davis, Harriott Davis and Dorcas Davis.
- I give and devise to my four sons, Soloman, Garah, Eli, and Richard Davis all of my land to be equally divided between them.
- I appoint Solomon by executor.

- 1748-1752 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: pg. 142-143. Daniel Dulaney Esq. recorded deed 1 March 1749, made 9 Feb 1749 between Richard Davies of Anne Arundel County, planter, for 80 pounds current money, sells 200 acres called "Dear Bought," lying in Frederick County, signed Richard Davis, before Jno Brice, John Little; Ack. Receipt. No dower release. 8 shillings AF paid.
- 1763-1765 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: 18-19. Andrew Smith of Frederick County, miller, recorded 23 May 1764 between Daniel Dulaney of Annapolis, Esq., son and heir of Daniel Dulaney, deceased. Whereas Daniel Dulaney did in his lifetime purchase 200 acres of "Dearbought" of a certain Richard Davis, now for £200 he sells all those 200 acres. Signed Dan! Dulaney before 1. Dickson, Sam'l Beall Junr. Deed ack. AF paid.
- 1763-1765 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: 1062-1063. Richard Davis recorded 4 March 1765, between Clement Gore for £35.. sells part of "Gore's Adventure." Signed Clement Gore, before John Darnall Junr., John Darnall. Receipt. Ack. Mary wife of Clement Gore released dower. AF paid.
- 1763-1765 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: 1357-1358. Thomas Williams, 24 Nov. 1764 against Jeremiah Spiers and Richard Davis, for 249½ Ibs. tob. & costs, recovered 23 Aug. 1764 before Wm Luckett.
- 1767-1770 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: 608. Thomas Prather recorded supersedeas against John Jacobs, Arthur Nelson and Richard Davis for 1757 Yo Ibs. tob. and costs, in court 19 March 1768. Acknowledged before Charles Jones, Wm Luckett, August 1768
- 1770-1772 Frederick County MD Land Records {Patricia Abelard Andersen}: 253-255. Richard Davis recorded lease August 23,1770, made 18 August between Samuel Chew and Bennett Chew of Anne Arundel County, for rents and covenents leases for 21 years 100 acres, a Part of Chews Farm, number 5, to pay yearly rents of £6. Signed Saml Chew Junr., Bennett Chew, Richard Davis before B. Ghiselin, Robert Condon, Jos. Wood, Charles Jones.
