Richard1 Currier bp 14 Jan 1610/11 at St Thomas's Church in Salisbury, England son of Thomas and Martha (Osborne) Currier who had married there 14 Jan 1610/11. He died Amesbury 22 Feb 1685/86. Tradition states he drowned while crossing the mill pond by his saw mill when the ice was unsafe.

    He first married ANN , who died between 5 April, 1675, (when she signed her name to a deed) and 26 October 1676 when Richard married second. She was the mother of his children, it is unknown at this time whether he married in England or New England,

    Richard married second, 26 October 1676, Amesburv, Ma . MRS. JOANNA (PINDER) (ROWELL) SARGENT, who was born in 1621 and died in October 1690, Amesbury, Ma. She was the widow of Valentine Rowell and William Sargent, the daughter of Henry Pinder.
