He retired in 1982 as a chief engineer at Accurate Die Casting in Fayetteville after 24 years. He was an elder for Eastside Memorial Church in Rochester, Manlius Lions Club, Cazenovia Golf Club and Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church in DeWitt. Survivors: His wife of 58 years, the former Helen Williams; a daughter, Marilyn Cornell of New Woodstock; a son, Robert of Hamilton; two grandchildren.
