Oswego Palladium-Times, 29 Nov 1941: ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED / Miss Helen Williams will be bride of Richard Cornell Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams of Camden NY announced the engagement of their daughter on Thanksgiving Day, Miss Helen Williams to Richard B. Cornell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cornell of Hazelwood Terrace, Rochester. Miss Williams is a graduate of Camden High School and Oswego Normal and is now employed as teacher in Hastings NY. At Normal School she was affiliated with Alpha Delta sorority. Mr. Cornell is a graduate of Monroe High School, Rochester, and also attended Oswego State Normal where he was a member of Beta Tau Epsilon fraternity. At present he is employed at the Gleason Gear Manufacturing Company in Rochester. No date has been set for the wedding.

Oswego Palladium-Times, 4 Oct 1943: CORNELL--WILLIAMS Two former students of Oswego State Teachers College were married Sept. 5 in Hillsboro Baptist Church, Camden NY, when Miss Helen Margaret Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams of Camden, became the bride of Pfc. Richard Burton Cornell of Hamilton Field, CA. Rev. Beriram? A. Walton read the service. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cornell of Rochester. Music was provided by the bridegroom's sister, Miss Katherine Cornell, and Miss Carol Noble of Rochester sang. The bride's only attendant was her sister, Mrs. Stanley Faulkner of Clay. The best man was Clayton S. Cornell, the bridegroom's brother, of Saranac Lake. Stanley Faulkner and Claud Bisbo ushered. The bride wore a brown suit with matching hat... The reception was in the Hillsboro Community house for 45 guests... Mrs. Cornell is a graduate of Camden High School and Oswego State Teachers College in 1940. She was affiliated with Alpha Delta sorority. For the last three years she has taught in Hastings. Mr. Cornell was graduated from Monroe High School, Rochester. He attended Oswego State Teachers College where he was connected with Beta Tau Epsilon fraternity. In a few weeks Mrs. Cornell will go to California where her husband is stationed with the Army Air Force... Out-of-town guests at the wedding...
